Yamaha Shift Dampener System – Many of Yamaha’s mid-range and high horsepower props come with Yamaha’s exclusive Shift Dampener System (SDS). This system absorbs forces created when an engine shifts in and out of gear, resulting in a quieter, smoother and ‘clunk free’ shifting.

Reliance SDS Series – This new line-up of polished stainless steel props are specifically designed for Yamaha’s powerful inline four-cylinder engines. They include Yamaha’s Shift Dampener System (SDS) for quieter and smoother shifting, without the ‘clunk’ normally associated with shifting gear.

2800cc Four-Cylinder Engine – The 16 valve, 2.8 litre, double overhead camshaft (DOHC) layout with its increased cylinder capacity and large valves, results in optimum valve actuation, resulting in improved valve timing, acceleration and overall running performance.

Direct Ignition – The direct ignition system, with plug cap and ignition coil, provides higher reliability and increased performance.

High Output Alternator – This alternator delivers more power: 50 amps at wide open throttle, producing a full 22 amps at only 600 rpm which means there is sufficient output to keep charging the battery even at low RPM.

Digital Network Gauges – This engine is compatible with Yamaha’s Digital Network Gauges, including the top-of-the-line Command Link Plus system, giving you the information needed to maximise engine performance and efficiency. This engine is also NMEA2000 compatible with third party multi-function displays, GPS and fish finders.

Electronic Throttle Valve – The electronic throttle valve provides sure and more precise valve opening and closing according to each engine temperature and atmospheric condition. This system works in tune with the fuel injection and ignition systems, to deliver incredible response and exceptional fuel economy.

Variable Camshaft Timing – The Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) advances and retards the camshaft timing according to the engine RPMs. This in combination with the electronically controlled single throttle valve system and long intake manifold boosts low and mid-range torque for optimum acceleration.

Variable Trolling Control – Yamaha’s variable trolling control allows the skipper to precisely adjust the engine’s idling speed from 600 to 1000 RPM in 50 RPM increments. The ability to finely tune the trolling speed allows fisherman to perfect their lure presentation when chasing different species of fish.

Conventional – 6Y5 Round Gauge – Yamaha’s most affordable Tachometer and Speedometer gauges offer RPM, Trim Angle, Oil Pressure, Overheat Warning, Trip Hours, Total Operating Hours, Speed, Trip Distance, Time, Fuel Level, Low-Fuel Warning and Battery Voltage/Warning.

Offset Crankshaft – The crankshaft design is offset 5mm from the centre of cylinder for more efficient transfer of power to the crankshaft.
