81MM Cylinder Bore – The cylinder bore size has been increased from 79mm to 81mm which provides more engine torque. A larger valve was adopted for increased transfer efficiency for both intake and exhaust.

Single Ram Power Trim and Tilt – The compact and light-weight single ram power, trim and tilt (PTT) unit and bracket have been developed exclusively for this engine to further reduce overall engine weight for increased acceleration and speed.

Direct Ignition – The direct ignition system with a plug cap and an ignition coil provides higher reliability and increased performance.

1832cc Four-Cylinder Engine – The 16 valve, 1.8 Litre, dual overhead camshaft design delivers superior efficiency in the transfer of intake and exhaust gasses throughout the RPM range. The VF115 incorporates larger intake and exhaust valves which enhance response, efficiency and mid-range torque.

Conventional – 6Y5 Round Gauge – Yamaha’s most affordable Tachometer and Speedometer gauges offer RPM, Trim Angle, Oil Pressure, Overheat Warning, Trip Hours, Total Operating Hours, Speed, Trip Distance, Time, Fuel Level, Low-Fuel Warning and Battery Voltage/Warning.

Offset Crankshaft – The crankshaft design is offset 5mm from the centre of cylinder for more efficient transfer of power to the crankshaft.

Multi-Point Electronic Fuel Injection – The Multi-Point Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system, injects the right amount of fuel into the combustion chamber at the optimum timing, for ‘first-time, every-time’ hot and cold starting, improved fuel efficiency, excellent throttle response.
